Questions about Scottish Power? Maybe we can help.
I have just switched to Scottish Power, but why does my previous supplier still take a Direct Debit payment?
Usually, your previous supplier will continue to take Direct Debit payments until they have sent you your final bill. Once it has been issued, it may take one final payment to clear up the remaining balance. You will normally receive your final bill within 6 weeks after your switch date. Should you have any queries regarding a Direct Debit payment to your previous supplier or your final bill from your previous supplier, you should get in touch with them directly.
Why has my energy consumption changed?
There could be a number of reasons why your energy consumption has changed. As you know, when it is colder, you tend to be using much more gas or electricity than normal. New appliances or equipment in your home or a change in the number of persons living in your house could also make a difference.
I have just applied to switch to Scottish Power, but I have changed my mind and would like to cancel the application. What do I have to do?
If you have changed your mind and would like to cancel your contract, you must let Scottish Power know within your cooling off period, which ends in 14 days from the day that you received your Welcome Pack. If you do it, Scottish Power will do what they can to stop your supply switching to them, or in case the switching process is already done, they will transfer you back to your old supplier as if you have never left them.
What should I do if my boiler is damaged or broken?
