- Meter reading reminders
- Secure online payments
What is a warm home discount?
Some energy suppliers, including NPower, have set up a scheme with the Government to help vulnerable households in England, Scotland and Wales by giving an annual rebate of £140 – inclusive of VAT – from their electricity bill.
To see if you’re eligible for the Warm Home Discount or to find out more information about our other services which support customers in need of a little help on this web page.
Can I change my monthly Direct Debit amount?
You can’t set your own Direct Debit amount, but NPower will show you your payment status in your online account using the Direct Debit tracker.
If you’re paying too little or too much, they will make recommendations designed to help get you back on track, including changing your Direct Debit to an amount that’s right for your usage. If you’re happy with these recommendations, you can accept them and your payment amount will be updated.
Why do your agents still need to visit my home when I am already sending meter readings online?
Most importantly, they want to check that the equipment is still safe to use. Secondly, they want to make sure the meters are giving them accurate information. This way, they can be confident your bills are based on actual energy usage.
If your meter is easily accessible from the outside of your property, they will carry out your meter read visit and meter safety inspection without you being there. In some cases, they may not be able to gain access to your meter so they will need to arrange an appointment that’s convenient for you, but we will need you to be there.
