What is Mobile Number Portability?
Mobile number portability is an industry agreed process where customers can move to other network operators and keep their existing number. You need to contact your current network provider and request for a porting authorisation code (PAC). PAC is valid for thirty days. Once it has been provided to you, you pass it on to the new network you want to join. The porting process can be completed within two working days but it varies for all networks.
I’m using a pay as you go number but want to port to another network, will I lose credit I have on the number?
If you are using a pay as you go number and you’re moving from your current network to a new one, all credit you have cannot be moved to the new network. You will lose all subscriptions.
Can I change the phone I received if I’ve lost interest in using it?
You can exchange your phone for another within fourteen days of receipt. For iPhones, due to their tariffs, they cannot be exchanged for other manufacturers.
I am already using my phone, can I return it for a refund?
A refund is assured if products being returned are unused and in their original packaging. Once you insert your SIM card in the phone, you accept the contract and cannot get a refund. To get a refund, manuals, free gifts and all accessories should be returned in the same condition they were received.
How do I use my phone abroad?
It’s important to contact your service provider if you want to use your phone abroad. They will be able to give you the necessary information you need to know about roaming and get your phone to work during your stay.
