What is the process of online services registration?
We have a very direct procedure that customers are required to follow. All you have to do is get a new number with us and an email address which we retain for you so that you will be able to register on Good Energy online Portal. Upon submission of your details to the page of registration, a link will be sent to your email for validation purposes of your registration request. What follows is contact details confirmation and password setting. Finally, you become registered.
Is it okay to switch to Good Energy if I have smart meter with me?
Definitely, but sadly your meter will be considered dumb or traditional up to the end of 2017, which translates into your requirement to send us the meter reading from time to time for correct billing. Before switching to us, ensure your meter is reachable and can display readings from the screen.
Will I be required to provide payment for installation?
Not at all, it is completely free to have your meter installation.
Can I use my start read in place of my commissioning read?
According to Ofgem Legislation, installation simply becomes qualified the moment we receive an application. Immediately your system is fitted in place and received MCS Certificate, kindly submit your application with immediate effect so that your eligibility date can be secured early. Start meter read is only received starting from the date your application is accepted going forward, and in that case, after your panels have been installed, we request you send your application to us. This allows you to be paid for a number of generations maximally.
What does an annual statement mean?
The annual statement outlines the usage of your gas and electricity for the whole year. It also displays your prediction usage for the following year and a duplicate of your Tariff Information Label (TIL), which indicates your tariff main details.
