Can I cancel a reservation?
It is possible to make a request to cancel a reservation before the reserved rental period commences. However, according to terms and conditions, all cancellation initiated by the customer attract charges. Contact customer service immediately you decide to cancel a reservation and relay your request to quickly process the cancellation. You will receive all security deposits and optional extras back.
What payment methods are acceptable?
- Online payment: These payments are done when booking a request online and are usually non-refundable. Credit and Debit cards are accepted for this form of payment.
- Pay on Collection: Use your Visa, MasterCard or American Express card to make payment at the rental desk.
Please note that Bitcoin, cheques, cash or prepaid cards are unacceptable payment forms.
When do I receive my refund?
It takes a period of up to seven working days for refunds to reflect in a client’s account. However, this is not always assured since different banks have different duration of processing funds.
How secure are my online transactions with County Car and Van Rental?
All credit card information provided by clients are processed to Stripe and hence no details are stored on the system servers. All information provided on your profile is secured and encrypted by the Microsoft Azure B2C service. This means your personal and private details are both encrypted while in transit or at rest.
Does County Car and Van Rental offer insurance?
The Self-drive insurance policy is a cover that County Car and Van Rental provides to clients who use their hiring and rental services. Clients who have driving experience without any major accidents are eligible for this policy. A rental adviser will have to be notified if you have medical issues before you can be granted access to the policy. The insurance covers only certain faults and accidents. Clients can check for details from the policy documentation.
